Getting Started
1. What is CollaFi?
CollaFi is a peer-to-peer NFT lending and borrowing platform built for Hedera. NFT holders can borrow HBAR without selling eligible NFTs, while lenders can fund loans secured by those NFTs.
CollaFi stands for Collateralized Finance.
Key features
- Direct offers between lenders and borrowers.
- HBAR lending and repayment.
- NFT collateral held in escrow during active loans.
- Seven-day loan terms with no grace period.
- Native Hedera transactions rather than custom lending smart contracts.
- Points, leaderboards, sprints, and NFT rewards.
CollaFi is intended for Hedera NFT holders who want temporary liquidity, HBAR holders who want to fund NFT-backed loans, and project teams that want lending support for their collections.
2. Connect your wallet
Supported connection methods
- HashPack.
- WalletConnect-compatible wallets.
Connect
- Visit collafi.com.
- Select Connect Wallet.
- Choose a connection method.
- Approve the connection request in your wallet.
- Sign the CollaFi sign-in message.
Connecting a wallet and signing in are separate security steps. CollaFi does not consider an account authenticated until the sign-in message is approved.
Connection troubleshooting
- Confirm that you are using the official CollaFi domain.
- Unlock and update your wallet.
- Refresh CollaFi and reconnect.
- On mobile, use the wallet's in-app browser where appropriate.
- Try WalletConnect if a direct wallet connection is unavailable.
- Clear stale site data only if ordinary reconnection fails.
Security warning: Never share a private key or seed phrase. CollaFi support will never ask for either.
3. Set up your profile
After signing in, you can configure:
- Username: Your public account name on CollaFi and the leaderboard.
- Email: An optional verified notification channel.
- Profile picture: An optional public image used in account displays and rankings.
- Discord: An optional notification channel linked through a verification flow.
Usernames are stored in lowercase and may use the characters permitted by the profile form. Email and Discord preferences can be changed later from Settings.
Transactional communication preferences are configured by notification type and channel. Marketing or news preferences require the relevant consent setting.
4. Understand the platform
- Home: Featured collections, recently added collections, platform activity, and market information.
- Collections: Supported collections, liquidity, offers, market prices, and project links.
- Portfolio: Lending and borrowing positions, claims, repayments, history, and performance.
- My NFTs: Supported NFTs held by the connected wallet and available instant-loan amounts.

Lend HBAR
- Open Collections.
- Select a collection.

- Enter one or more offer amounts.
- Review the fees, interest split, total approval, and expected return.
- Approve the wallet transactions.
The offers remain open until they are accepted or cancelled.

- Choose the NFT to use as collateral.
- Review the principal, acceptance fee, interest, and deadline.
